February 17 – 19, 2017FREE Weekend (Mostly Silent) Meditation Retreat entitled:  Dismantling Unworthiness. NOTE: THIS RETREAT IS NOW FULL. THE NEXT WELL BEING RETREAT IS MARCH 10 – 12TH. There is no charge for the retreat, but depending on the number of people, you will be asked to provide and prepare one meal (probably two or three people per meal) for the group. This arrangement allows Don & Patty to fully participate and past experience has proven this arrangement to rapidly build a remarkable sense of community. Twelve to 20 people are expected with a maximum of 26. All sessions are voluntary, of course. The retreat is a non-denominational opportunity to explore one’s own deepest nature. Don Oakley, author of the new  Five Star rated book on Amazon, “It’s Time to Wake Up Now: The Top Ten Myths That Can Hijack Spiritual Awakening,” will give a guided meditation Friday evening and will lead a guided inquiry session on Saturday morning. The remainder of the weekend will be devoted to silent sittings, opportunity for structured sharing, exploring Nature on our 160 acre land, Possibly some light Yoga, walking along our 2 1/2 miles of river frontage, reading (we have an extensive library), or just catching up on your rest. April 20 – 23, 2017 – A three-night “Feldenkrais and Embodied Life Retreat: Cultivating Contentment in a Crazy World” Retreat with Brenda Rasch, P.T. Brenda uses a variety of practices such as Feldenkrais, meditation, music and inquiry to bring participants to realization of inner contentment. The retreat begins with dinner Thursday evening and ends with lunch on Sunday. Silence is observed each evening through breakfast the following day. There are morning and evening meditations. Class time is spent in various experiential exercises, guided inquiry, movement lessons and conversation and talks. There is also unscheduled time each day allowing for ample breaks for self reflection, reading, journaling, napping, walking and hiking.
